The construction of the Vopak Singapore - Banyan Terminal is well on schedule for completion by 1 April 2006, with the opening ceremony planned for mid April.
Overall progress on the facility is looking good. More than half of the tankage has successfully completed hydrostatic tests while 30% of the tanks are already painted. About 65% of the piping work had been completed by the end of December 2005. Installation of internal floating roofs is underway.
Civil works for the loading pump station for the petroleum tanks and the 120,000/80,000 dwt finger pier jetty has been finalised and construction of the office building is nearing completion.
Vopak’s fourth Singapore terminal will have a total storage capacity of 370,000 cbm in 26 petroleum & chemical tanks.
